Not that I'm complaining. This format did work well. Drag is fake anyway so an artificially created atmosphere is a perfect setting. The control gave them the opportunity to light and film well and we all came out looking lovely.

It was made for the HBO series POV. It was closer to a what we now call reality TV than a documentary in that they put us in situations to be filmed rather than film things we were actually doing. We were not really Christmas shopping in drag nor had we any plans to travel to Philadelphia to be in a parade. We were all from New York.
