gotta say thanks to andrew from buckshot for talking me out of my funco purchase. and talking me into an x-5, best purchase i ever made. @MonsterDGAF, had a VW rail back in the days, even had a rail with a Suburu boxer engine in it. Nothing compares to the times that i have had in glamis with my Buckshot.
Man, that must suck. I guess I should be thankful that I live in So Cal. I built a little 2 seat rail. Bought the frame from a company called Prowler. I just bought everything and put it together as I went along. It's got a 220 HP VW in it and it only weighs about 850 pounds. I probably have 20 in it. That price is really due to the fact that I wanted everything chromed or powdercoated. Nonetheless, it's nice and has a way nicer price tag than these rails.
yes i know, they are more or less the Lamborghini of sand rails they have performance but you can build a car just as fast if not faster for under half the price
i would personally like to build my own (live in florida hardly any dunes.) out of a crawler chassis but that wont happen .back to mud.
The price is also a trophy truck and a sandrail combined. These rails are sick, don't get me wrong, but you can still have fun in rails half the price.
the red one is the best
