MIllennium 5: The Industrial Revolution

Scenes from the industrial revolution are underscored by music from the Millennium Suite by Bernard J. Taylor (see http://www.bernardjtaylor.com/Othermusic/OtrMillennium.html). The industrial revolution was a mixed blessing for society. It brought many benefits but also caused great disruptions. Great advances in productivity, technology and aids to human existence were often accompanied by great disruption, corruption and carnage with increasingly deadly weapons.

The music is played by the State Opera Orchestra of Iasi, Romania, and orchestrated by Gareth Price.
