Baseballdad: Do you have any current videos of your son hitting off the Zooka?
Thanks Coach Zooka

I've thrown to many kids 60-75mph, most of the "hitters" hit it. When kids are young they just have no fear of missing the ball. When they get older the ball goes wizzing by. Nice job!

@Xxcardlcolector20xX well then yu should play for motherlovin Team USA then.

i didn't know tennis balls made a "ding" sound when they hit a bat.....

The impressive thing is that he isnt swinging before the pitch comes out, hes stepping and then swinging. His mechanics arnt the best (but good god hes 6!). I just recommend that you get him the right hitting mechanics! Very talented kid, Good luck!

Nice i like the last swing it was pretty

i can tell you now i dont see to many kids his age throwing off speed pitches. they probably cant even use the changeup at his level. so if he learns to hit the speed it really isnt a problem
Sure, but can the little guy hit the off-speed stuff?

Thanks for the comment. The video is almost a year old and he is even better now. We are using real baseballs now. I will try to post a new video in the next month or so.

Wow,that is awesome! Keep it up. Your son probably doesn't realize he's not "suppose to" be hitting that speed at that age.

I try to not set any baseball "boundaries" for him and it has worked well so far. And he even can pitch the ball at 42mph (althought at his age they have machine or coach pitch). I wonder how fast he will be able to pitch when he turns 9 like Jerico Scott (the kid who was banned from pitching in his league because he pitched too hard).
