My re-make of the 1972 classic. In my version, handbags prevail, as the ship is capsized by a GIANT PURSE. Why? Why not? In this first installment, which begins like an ad for the release of the film, turning into the film itself, we are given some character exposition. I play all roles, incl. the extras; did all the sets, sound, editng, and ...alla that. Old VHS. The days of Camcorders! T'was fun. I dare you to watch ALL installments...

  • Hi D., how long did it take to completely construct and assemble the dining salon set? When was the first time you viewed the movie? I first saw it at age 11 and was instantly obsessed by the detail and special effects. I wish your remake of the film were available on DVD!

  • @Mercman70 The dining salon was done twice, once VERY cheaply when I thought this would be a five minute parody, and took about a week, when I realized it was going to be more than five minutes I re-did the whole thing, painted the backdrops to look as close to the room as possible; spray-painted thrift-store chairs gold, the tableclothes, centerpieces, the whole bit, and it probably took a month, maybe? I wanted to get going on filming so I wasted no time!

  • As a diehard fan of the '72 classic film, I LOVED your parody. It is brilliant! I have watched it again and again. It is hilarious! You are so very talented.

  • @Mercman70 Thank you very much, Mercman! Much appreciated! The original "Poseidon" is STILL my favorite and I am spoofing it again even now (only with dolls - this makes for smaller sets!) : D

  • "jack is back at the garage w/ chico" lol great very well done- its in the details, & this gets it right...i haven't laughed at a video this much in a while!! can't wait to see where red buttons falls for nonnie ? or Lonnie or whatever the she calls herself..i call her "Hot Legs" same for Pam Sue Martin.. 2 great pairs of legs that help keep my attention in the original movie!

  • @MOSKII58 Glad you dug it, Curt! Yes, I just didn't want to mess with Jack's make-up job, so having Shelley say he was back at the garage took care of that! Oh and Nonnie - I wanted to add Nonnie and Red gags, but somehow in making this I actually *forgot* about her!!! Shame, shame, I had to do most of her scenes later-! AND re-do Stella's, when I found a way cooler set of fake boobs to use... : D

  • How on Earth did you get that foghorn to go off on cue??? That was funny... yet awesome!

  • @kamelion7 Thank you! NOW I can make an even scarier Ernest Borgnine, what with a few years on me. It's truly terrifying. But doing his voice, OHHH I need an entire tin of lozenges after two sentences!

  • God even better than your 'Psycho' one Paul!!! You resemblance to Ernest Borgnine is amazing - especially the vest. You are brilliant mate!

  • Your ship has no lifeboats on it! I love it!
