Treble Boost Pedal built from Guitar and Bass Magazine DIY kit. Plugged in to small Valve amp and used to overdrive. Just like Brian May does!

  • Hey man, could you give me some info on that Watkins amp you're using, i'm about to purchase one but i'm quite not sure, i've seen them on pink floyd videos and such, just wondering, if you could give me your thought on this amp it would help me a lot, thanks in advance.

  • It's a WEM Westmister 10 watt combo. I also have a WEM Dominator combo. Both brilliant amps. G

  • VERY VERY AWESOME!!! Does it sound the same in person as it does in the video? I ask because I know you tube automatically adds a lot of compression to video audios.Does it compress like that at home?

WHERE can we order a kit?

  • The pedal doesn't really add any compression, it just pushes the amp.

I built this fro a kit available from Guitar (and bass) mag in the UK.

  • @blondegraemey So how do I get one????

  • Do a google search for "guitar and bass magazine" then click 'contact' and ask if they have any treble boost kits left.

  • Sonex-180. Love that guitar, I've got one too.

  • u forgot to mention tony iommi :(

  • That is a noisy example of one,You must have built one the right way since?.Meaning on a terminal strip, point to point and not forgetting to use shielded cables throughout for all signal paths?Mine has less than half the noise and in a very high gain amp channel to boot!.I do believe even original ones were alot quieter than this one being point to point and very compact.Enclosing anything in a metal box only reduces hum not static, find a cable with low capacitance to use also.Great video !

  • Why yes!

  • 05:16 I don't know if you're conscious of it but you played the solo of "I'm a Legend Tonite" of Kiss.

  • oh my god it's sound like brian on wembley 86...i want it..

  • @blondegraemey Well, I did what you suggested and now I wait for their response. I take it there is no company name on the pedal. No trademark or copyright? Very strange! You could copy it and make a million dollars!
