  • Dear Lady,

Fear and we all know what that is; is only overcome by Knowledge! Reasonable Fear is appropriate as they out weigh us 10;1! When knowledge enters the front door, fear goes litlle by little out the back door! Confidence and Trust of Horse and Son is not an easy thing! But trust in self and helpful direction and confidence through knowledge of life will win every time! The horse knows it! When you are right in your mind & trust in life! Do not do this 1 min before "you KNOW!"

  • Well said, Mike. Very well put.

  • Thanks,

That gives my 70 yr old heart a "Good Push!" Like my Irish GMa said after she landed at Ellis, IS in 1900. There were nothing but horses & Buggies in the streets of NY City! Thanks again.

    Mike

  • If I had not come onto this way of horsemanship, I have no doubt I would have had to sell my horse; green as grass, pushy, dominant, gelded 2 months before he came to me at 4. We were "saved" by Buck, who showed me how to support and direct my boy w/o letting him taking over. I was scared witless inside and he (my horse) knew it. He still challenges me every day, yet he's there for me in a pinch. We help each other........priceless!

  • Doggone it, I was hoping this WAS about being better than someone else!!! Arr arr.

We've all been around know-it-all assertive people.I always enjoy new approaches to horsemanship but know-it-all's are a real turnoff.

I just subscribed to you Mike.I like your approach & style & look forward to receiving info from you.Our horses deserve that we learn the best ways to get along w/them.They perform alot of our requests;Aren't we fortunate to know our horses.
