  • Mine has the same prblem... Is the battery still good in this case??

  • @bencraigful Typically, yes. But it you plan to open up the iPod it's a good idea to replace the battery to extend your battery life!

  • Just a question, would I be able to put a higher sized HD in a lower sized ipod? I currently have a 30 gig and I want to up it to a 60gig. Would the power supply be able to handle a 60?

  • @brndnusin You would have to also replace the rear metal housing and associated components (Battery, headphone jack).

  • I just replaced a hard drive on mine, And when I went to plug it in to charge it up, the apple logo came up and I still got the sad face like in your video. The hard drive is brand new, and I'm now at a loss.

  • @GoreChyld You have to close the iPod so the metal frame touches the back housing.

  • before i buy a new hard drive and tell someone to do it for me , is this 100% that it will work

  • Sorry if this was already answered, but will i be able to put my old 5th generation 60gb hard drive into a 5.5 generation 30 gb ipod logic board? my ipod 5th 60 gb died but im sure the harddrive is still working and i got the 5.5 30gb on craigslist

  • @outlawspark11 Only if it's a 5.5G board. This would also require replacing the back cover (due to thickness), and all components associated with the rear housing... battery and headphone jack.

  • @aLmahhs If you have a 5.5G board this may be possible. You can determine the model online using your serial number of the model number which starts with an A followed by 4 numbers.

  • @Luongod1 Yes! You would also have to replace the back cover (due to thickness), battery, and headphone jack.

  • @haloshredder If you have a 5.5G model you may be able to but I'm not 100% sure.
