This book is about boundaries and loving yourself. Old school Women would pull their daughters, little sisters etc, to the side and teach them the intricacies of courtship. Everything is just laid out in the open now and there is no mystery- no anticipation. Get past the title and really see the truth outlined in this book. It can help you forego a lot of pain and uncertainty in the short and long term because it can help filter out those men that really don't mean you any good. Just try it.

The Rules is the worst book on earth!

So if I call a girl I like, and she hangs up the phone on me before I feel the conversation is done, I'm thinking she don't like me. Therefore I move on. If she does not initiate once in a while a hello or phone call, I move on.

Too bad she never took the time or effort to want to get to know me, the way i wanted to get to know her. The chase is 90% me, and 10% her...under the Rules its 100% me, and 0% her. Who wants a wife that puts 0% effort.

From a dating and getting to know perspective, this book is okay, but I kind of get the feeling that it takes an incredibly passive approach to relationships, which I don't think is healthy. Relationships involve two people, not one person who is trying to be aloof and another person who is trying to chase them.

I think ever women should just read fascinating womanhood and steve harveys "act like a woman think like a man" that'll shine alot of light on relationship issues and the do's and donts

@amyy164 I know what you mean. But, the truth is men wouldn't buy them. So, instead the books are written for us, and we have to some how convey our lessons to men.
