He discovers Cupid, like Jeanie is from a harmless branch that should just be left alone. Makes his excuses & leaves. Poor Claire! But he loves her so he keeps coming back but it can't last. Reporter cover can only last so long. He risks blowing it every time he sees her.

I admit I liked him here a lot better than in latter SGA where writers obviously promoted McKay & the doctor damn forgot her name at Sheppard's expense (IMHO!)

wrote a story at fanfictiondotnet where they do get together Cupid After 8 years as a Mortal. Gumtu also wrote one., Replace dot with . add the w's. it is under TV cupid and don't forget to notice the cross over section. Several good ones there including a Due South crossover that will have you rotfl.

Maybe he was too perfect? I used to watch this show (all twelve episodes of it. :P) when it was aired here, and it always looked like the point was for Claire and *Trevor* to eventually get together. Had Alex stayed, there wouldn't have been any doubt that Claire would have stayed with him.

Well, although I saw a whole story summarizing fanvid out here, I'm still 3 series to go until the end of their story and wondering how something promising such perfection could end simply with the need to move, otherwise than the trivial necessity of showmakers to go on with the story and say goodbye to JF and "happily ever after" being always left out of the books because it's a boring subject =))
