I'm trying to get USB-host functionality from the g1 phone. It supports usb On-the-go but it is only supported through hardware. Did you program the driver for the usb host controller? If so, what resources helped you to accomplish this?

how were you able to get the mouse to work? Did you program your own driver? Apparently, the mouse will be recognized as a HID, but here is no curser displayed, hence, no driver.
