He wasn't self taught. He had lessons at the Royal Academy of Music when he was a teenager. By all accounts a particularly good musician at a very young age

They can be obtained from Elton collectors who sell bootlegs of his concerts/interviews, etc.
I'd love to see some instruction of how this one is done. Elton does it so smoothly, my attempt sounds shit!

not bad for a self thaught piano man... he is a genius and with his geniality he passes over his lack of tecnique.. the discending scale is from grimsby... but who cares

Indeed, this is a demo. I was expecting the piano track from the original song kinda, but this is brilliant :)! I must upload a solo piano cover.
