In the face of danger and certain death, Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy moved in the line of enemy fire to call in his location to headquarters in am attempt to save his men. For his heroic actions, the Navy has commissioned a destroyer the "USS Michael Murphy."

LT. Murphy was my dad's best friend. We found out about his death through the TV a few years after his death. I never personally new him cause I was a young child. But from the stories I hear he was a good man. God Bless his family. My prayers are with them.

I read "The Lone Survivor" written by Marcus Luttrell, in context it says that when he contacted the operators and finished making the call he said "Thank you" right before he was shot once more, I almost cried reading through it..
