you are right for the most part.. just except you failed to mention how the sti costs twice as much.

i can pick up an srt4 for less than half of what i can an sti, and put as much money more as i would have spent on just the sti into the skittle, and i GUARENTEE you the srt4 would pull away victorious on a drag and track... as for dirt thats obvious, awd vs. fwd.

@gydzter23 I agree the SRT-4 has a very powerfull engin with a non ending potential the only thing is that it will always be a Dodge peice of junk no matter how much money you put into. The STi will always be the mean dog! Cheers

@mnutt346 That was exactly my point. People say 'its only a neon' when there are, in fact, very severe differences between an econobox neon and an SRT-4, namely in the drivetrain and running gear. Hence my allusion to the STI 'only' being an impreza and thus to the ignorant an uninformed suffering from the same weak transmission issues.

The STi has a completely different transmission than the base Impreza. In the 08+ models it's practically bulletproof. The SRT-4 could be the same story, I'm not sure. Just thought I'd throw that in there.

@uchimomogeri Yas I know the SRT-4 was based on the neon chassis. Do you know the STI is based on the impreza chassis? Guess that means the transmission is going to imminently blow up then right? You have no qualifications to say 'when' a car is going to "brake" and you're just perpetuating internet hearsay and your own bias.
