Thank you for these video's on Youtube. My grandmother was Alice Cardinal, who married George Dunacan. They had 4 children, who were raised as whites. My mother had 8 children, 7 girls and 1 boy. When I got old enough I started to question my family about how we look native! My Grandmother had passed away so I couldnt ask her about her heritage.
As a young woman I learned to hunt, skin and tan hides and fish, not knowing this was part of my heritage. I'm proud to be a Gwichin.

Inspiring and purposeful I beleive as a country we are becoming backward...I also think it will be the way of this lands aboriginals that will show the way to those who have become backward and save all of us.

Thanks for sharing this. The Gwich'in are a beautiful people. We skins down south in the States often forget how much we have sold out and how much we continue to do so.
