lol, the only time I been to pender island was with my dad, in his 18 wheeler. Came from calgary to the resort there with a load of tables and chairs. that must have been back somewhere around 01, a little too small for a truck :P

@gkhansen1 Thank you for your comment it is very nice to say. I hope you enjoy your ride through the Gulf Islands. Might I suggest Narvaez Bay on Saturna Island instead of the busy Salt Spring Island. I also hear that there is a great kayaking shop on Saturna Island that will take you on a guided tour with a picnic lunch.

I sure hope you are still checking in with comments here because, PLEASE, tell me who makes the huge backpack you're using to carry your gear to the campsite? This is exactly what I need to put my panniers, etc. in to carry off the bike. I have a big canvas duffle bag but what you have is far better. And you can connect a pannier to the front too - excellent!

The bag I think you are talking about is a 'WHITE'S TRAVELER BACKPACK'
It's a bit bulky so we also use a 'Stahlsac WD14 Panama Mesh Backpack' that hardly takes up any room
