The Multi-Touch Multi-User Interactive Surface Using Computer Vision started as a final year undergraduate project at Concordia University, Montreal Canada.
The project won first place in the IEEE/Telus Innovation Awards 2009. This competition is annually organized by IEEE Canada and funded by Telus to recognize innovative student projects on a national level.
The whole software running on the surface including the robust real-time image processing algorithms used for touch detection, the applications themselves, and the user interface API was solely developed and architected by Issa Fanek.
