If you happen to believe what the right wing talking heads are telling you, then you probably believe that our government cant run a healthcare system, and that the only way to bring costs down with healthcare is to let private insurance companies continue to call the shots. Not only are both of these claims completely false, but they both address the wrong issues with our healthcare system. The problems we should be addressing are availability of services, quality of care, and accessibility. These are just a few of the issues that Ian Mitroff addresses in his new book "Dirty Rotten Strategies," and he spoke with Mike Papantonio recently about how we keep trying to solve the wrong problems with our healthcare system.

electing a truly progressive president is not the solution. Or electoral college system and corperate america has made it impossible to elect one. The real solution is to elect a truly proressive congress and Senate. That is at least possible.

To find that Obama was just using the pain and suffering of the people as a tool to get elected has made me as bitter and horrified as I could possible be. Im voting Green or for Kucinich or Sanders or Grayson. First choice... Kucinich.

  • Funny how you people think that greed will not exist in the public sector. It happens more in the public sector than the private sector. Also, the public sector misallocates resources, gives certain sectors more money, inflating them and allowing most of the corruption we see in the private industry. The greed starts at the top, and works its way down.

  • i get it now if the left got off there fat sorry asses then they couldnt blame the right for the porblems anymore well guy news flash the ppl wants the left to fight not sit on your lazy asses so do your goddamn job for once we the ppl are counting on the left and if you let us down then we will vote you out keep that in mind we want to hear more then a peep out of the left from now on got it

  • nice post.

  • Also there are rare occasions where a green runs and there is alreadya truly progressive democrat running. Ned Lamont was a truly Progressive democrat who won the nomination of the party for US senate. The Green candiate still ran for the seat rather than dropping out tgo endorse Ned. The green was not the reason why Ned lost but he did not help Ned either.

  • The problem with wanting to vote only green is that they are not always a option on the ballot. I live in a state where the greens rarely run for a office. The last time I voted green, it was for state sec and State treasurer. My state green party did not run a candiate for the US Senate. This is why I am still registered as a democrat. I want to partcipate in the democratic primary to try to help a true progressive democrat win.

  • I agree, but I think Greens are the most Progressive. I know MSM won't let anyone but reps from the two parties be seen, but we have other means of finding out about candidates now. And even voting blindly for the Green Party may be the smartest thing to do in light of the absolute trick Obama has played on the American people.

  • i do watch it but hell where are they now ??? who is gonna stand up to Obama ??? you??? dude i fallow politice more then you so check your facts no one is gonna stand up and fight for the people hell they wont stand up to Obamas bowing down to the right so let me know any of your bright idea's the only ones telling it like it is is TYT the young turks so fuck Obama and fuck the left ball less bitches the dems are too weak and you know it even the libs are weak ass pussys

  • Exuse me but I remember Dennis and Alan Grayson getting mad about no public option. Bernie Sanders proposed it in the senate. Watch some C-span for once.

  • thats funny i didnt hear them say a damn thing when Obama wouldnt fight for the public option and they damn sure didnt say anything when it was clear that the people wanted the public option so yes the left did sell us out along with Obamas help so dont give me that bullshit

  • i feel the same way but Grayson is from FLA and he wont run for pres
