An interview with Tête à Tête Opera founder Bill Bankes-Jones on his upcoming production of Salad Days at Riverside Studios.
"The Tête à Tête company present the show with tongue-in-cheek wit and palpable affection...the characterisation is deft, the New Look costumes and cut-glass accents an evocative delight, the unamplified singing a treat. Bill Bankes-Jones's production will [have you] leaving the theatre with a spring in your step and Oh, Look at Me! I'm Dancing on your lips. Bliss." - The Telegraph

What a wonderful man: I started in stage theatre as a lighting technician for this show; I have played the tramp; I have directed it. I am fervently anti artificial amplification. His strongest statement: the spirit of optimism. The plot, the score all serve that purpose.
