I am starting a microworm (nematoda) culture. They are too small to see, but if you look closely at the wet parts, you will see movement. These worms are used to feed baby fish (fry).

  • where did you get them? And do they smell (as in are they rank?)?

  • @bettacrazy I ordered them on ebay actually as most pet stores don't carry them. And yes they DO smell rank. You kinda get used to it though.

  • fake

  • ummm... how is that fake? Ask anyone who works at a pet store and they will tell you otherwise.

  • were did you go to get them?

i want to mate my bettas but i need to know how to feed them and how to get it

  • They're hard to find. I had to have mine shipped from the UK. Some pet stores may carry them though. I'm afraid I can't send you any, my idiot brother let them die while I was on vacation.

  • yuuuuuuuuuuum vomit on toast

  • They dont just appear you have to buy a culture of them from ebay, online stores, or speciality aquarium fish stores. All you do is prepare the bread(medium) and place the microworms on it and boom!! (Semi) Instant fry food....(wait a week)

BTW: The so called (Peanut Butter) I believe is the Microworms

  • Yes I agree these cultures do smell. I found min on Ebay also that's the best place to get them.

  • can i get this at my local petco?

  • eewww...moving peanut butter!!

  • Do you find the culture is more productive if you use bread instead of oatmeal? What's that brown thing laying across the bread?

  • WTF is that!!!

  • omg weird i found this video. this last night just out of the blue i asked myself what is small enough to feed fry. =D yay im happy =p

  • @Hotpants1231 youre fake and gay.

  • @Agarwaen777 I've heard that they smell less if you add yeast to the culture. I don't know if it's true or not, though, because mine have never smelled. I put them in a tupperware container, put a paper napkin over the top, and then put the lid (which has holes in it) on. They don't smell.

  • @Carmador its not fake they are really small you can barely see them at all
