I used to like to blow up the space station while the little robot was out behind my boat. Then the robot would come out and look for the space station, but it would be gone. Then I followed this lost, lonely little robot around the squares while the rest of the galaxy went to hell, and got taken over the Xylons, or whatever their names were.
I guess it was a bug that the robot didn't blow up when it was behind the boat.
So many years ago.

What do you think about Atari's new PS3/Xbox version?

I thought this was on Commodore 64 at first when I saw the clip.
I loved this game! I remember playing it on the atari 2600 with my dad helping me, as I was only 4 or 5 years old at the time...but I thought that the graphics were amazing!

@lily17403 Hey to a five year old the graphics were probably amazing. Sadly, I saw it on a Atari 800 first, THEN saw the 2600 version. Wowzers...

What type of keypad is that attached to the Atari in the beginning of the clip?

@golga14 That is the numeric keypad. I got a guy (Rick D) with More Than Game or Rick Catz to directly wire the Atari keypad to the Atari computer keyboard so I was able to use it at any time. Even during my play with Star Raiders. :)

@doctorclu Can u use it for the other Atari's like 2600 etc., and where can u get it?
golga14 10 months ago
@golga14 It connects to a regular joystick port, so I never thought of it, but sure, could probably program a 2600 game to use it. I am pretty sure other game systems (2600, 7800) don't have games that can use it. You can find these on ebay from time to time, or find them at B&C Electronics and Best Electronics, which deal with Atari items. And I have one for sale currently. :) But on the Atari computer most of the time the keypad is used by few programs.
