Basic engine test for a 3D Sonic fangame
Currently an immense chore to create the levels, but that's what the block system is there to solve :-) I can't manage SRB2's editing, so if I can make something that I can use, then I know I have made an improvement
Made in C++ using OGRE and a custom physics engine. Which is amazingly small. The physics code, including all the code for the different block shapes, comes in at ~260 lines. Yes, the loop works, inasmuch as loops ever work in 3D Sonic games... we'll see.
Haven't even thought about how to handle the camera yet... just using manual controls for now.
(BTW, Tailwind is my name, not the game's. Haven't got a good game title yet...)
Can I borrow that engine? I need it for the 3D levels of Sonic Heroes Again.

Huh... simple, solid, and looks cute enough to play.
I like it!

Do not fucking add the fish eye lens. God that effect is overstated. It is not cool. It will never be cool. Just because Xtreme, a game nobody has played and wasn't released, used it, doesn't mean it is cool..

it could be cool, if you add that fishy eye lens that Xtreme used to have, that way you can see whats going on in both sides of the screen, but not that exagerated like Xtreme, just a little to give that effect, butis really good, it has that Sonic Blast feeling to it, im looking to see more of it
