Ha ha ha i agree!!!

The "I am God" sentence probably has to be seen in context with the rest of what he wrote.
-
@firefws Yeah I thought that was dumb that he proclaimed himself to be God. Anyone with a right mind would realize that they are not God. Aside from that he wrote original pieces of work.
-
@somnynightin78 No, Scriabin IS GOD. "I am GOD" -Scriabin
-
@firefws More like GOD spoke through Scriabin.

@musthatedogs I am not a musician and never played an instrument in my life, and I have an extensive collection of Scriabins music.
I guess there are exceptions.

Scriabin is oe of the most under rated classical composers of all time.He was decades ahead of his time. What a shame he didnt live longer! As for Horowitzs performance,is amazing---the only thing I dont like is the way he plays the "Shimmering chords" at the end---A little too nervous,IMO--That being said, its still a great performance of a very difficult piece of music

I certainly agree that it is a magnificent piece, but I also think the 20th century has brought forward too many great pieces (French, Ravel, Debussy for example) to say that one of them is the best.
