Ok so this is the first time I have ever attempted this move. I had a couple of goes before I started the vid, so this is probably my 3rd or fourth go. I tried with my left hand above first, but realised with the plates in my arm couldn't pronate it round enough to grip properly, so really this all feels the wrong way round to me, but I gave it a go anyway!

This is the first time i've been on my pole in a good couple of weeks, so its not very elegant, and yes, the slippers are back lol. Theres also a go at the cartwheel mount just to show how far it has come, i'm really confident with it now.

Any hints on this would be greatly appreciated as i'm not very confident at it yet!

  • your cartwheel looks awesome! and great job on the twisted grip!

  • thanks!

  • OMG... the monkey spin!

  • whats a monkey spin??

  • looks great! I'm still working on my cartwheel mount, I start to spin for some reason, any idea why?? Try playing with bringing your hips in closer to the pole on the twisted grip too!

  • The only reason I could think of is that maybe you aren't fixing your lower shoulder strongly enough with you arm above your head, if you drop your shoulder it splints you but you don't get the same control.... thats the only reason I could think of but its really hard to explain!
