boomerang jet tree landing/crash

Flameout just in the wrong place... DOH
Too windy to go round and just a little too high to land on the hill. And worst of all it was the maiden flight.

"It was a good landing, until it fell out of the tree!!!"

The Academy of Model Aeronautics forbids spectators during a maiden flight; because, the last thing a pilot needs during this scenario is comments from the peanut gallery. Invite the camera and onlookers, only after the model has been deemed airworthy.

The Academy of Model Aeronautics may forbid spectators during a model maiden, however these were models up at a field on a flying day. I'm sure telling all of them to clear off would go down a treat.

That is a Awesome plane mate, and surely the turbine and electrics were ok? the airframe seemed ok too... did you manage to get her repaired and back up?

All the gear was ok, the plane had only minor damage and flying in a couple of weeks. I just wish the hill where I tried to land would have been a little higher

your are obviously a complete twat and have no idea about flying rc jets to suggest flying it from a camera. there are thousands of jet flyers all over the world and the boomerang isn;t really a big jet anyway.

in my opinion, why in the world would you fly an RC jet that big and fast in 3rd person view? If it were I, I'd by this expensive ass camera i could view through my laptop, that would be tight, then i could fly all the way around where ever.
