Just bought a VF1000R from a friend of mine for $10, yes TEN. Lucky as hell. The body needs a lot of work and I gotta replace the carbs, but other than that I'm estatic. Loving the bike man, especially those exhaust. Beautiful.

@pfiberoptik There was no VFR500. The 84 Interceptor was a VF500F. Great bike. I had one and wish I still had it. I have 3 VF1000Rs and love those too.

NICE! I loved this bike when it first came out...I remember the fucking Harley Tarif (BULLSHIT and why ppl should not buy harleys!) raised it price to over 6K - which was very high back then.

I did have a 1984 Vfr500 interceptor. It had custom 4-2 hand-bent headers which made all the pipes of equal lengths for even exhaust flow. One muffler was shorter than the other. It was ported, polished, and jetted. I ran 11:5's w/it in the quarter.

Sounded like a fucking banshee with those pipes!!!!

if you have done all that work to it then this thing should haul some serious nuts! my V65 Sabre is 99% stock and is quick but this would be scary quick
