  • this is talent no matter what..

  • Agreed, could (Joe Smith) have been anymore disrepectful to Dash Crofts, cracking about "no stage presence"!?Then poor Dash Crofts saying, "thanks for your moral support." (you could feel/see his upset).. Wow, I often wonder why Seals & Crofts just disappeared, really in their prime. With a studio head & that attiutude, I bet it only took one non best-selling album, and ol' Joe Smith kicked them to the curb, such crunk. These lads had talent up the ying-yang..& still should be around! ~Peace

  • Such great composers....they link and connect every pane of music up and down so smoothly and melodiously!!! They are the real gurus!

  • not many other musicians can say that they have left such a great musical legacy. Dash Crofts and Jimmy Seals were meant to write and perform together. I saw them way back when and it was one of the best concerts i have ever been to in my life. They are the musicians musician , they played all kinds of music and changed around on instruments. You have no idea how tallented they were, you would just have to had to have been ther to believe it.

  • Still get goosebumps hearing "Hummingbird".

  • I listened 2 all kinds of rock& roll&pop growing up in the 70's.DoobieBros, Stones,EJ,TheWho,&a lot of Motown, but my favourite group from that period was Seals&Crofts(which a lot of my friends found kind of weird) I loved their soaring harmonies,&catchy melodies.Only later did I find out why they were such great musicians, because they honed their craft by so many yrs on the road.Too bad it takes nothing to be a"talent" today. I feel fortunate I saw them live once & wish they would tour again.

  • I could be wrong I just saw Joe Smith as trying to be funny and maybe failing in the attempt! I as a new Baha'i joined a few others from Fredericton NB and went south of the border to Bangor Maine in March 1974. We all really enjoyed the concert and their talk later. Time lead them to South America and their music is still with them. Its not all about success on the world or North American Stage!!

  • Mandolin strings were better quality back then....lasted longer.
