Jackson RR24 + Randall V2 + Parametric EQ +OD

This is a sample recorded with a Jackson RR24, Zakk Wylde overdrive, Randall V2 and presonus EQ 3B . I've used a M-Audio Fast Track Pro and a SM 57 to record this.

Hey bro´!

Try to run the eq3b in front of the amp scooping the mids on amp and use only the mids control in the eq. I use the same eq and I don´t need no more of pedals to boost my head.

Mids:

BW: all the way left

DB: all the way right

HZ: 1k

great to see someone demonstrating the sound from a good guitar and a good amp...if you would have left some mids in the sound, it would have been helpful. This sound is nothing special, actually, you can even get it out of an old zoom505II...

@DarkFottloch Even if Randall V2 sucks, it's better than a zoom pedal... It's really hard to reccord something correct with this amp, it's very special...i think you can only use it for live session, when the volume is cranked...

I USE BOTH (EQ3B END THE FURMAN PQ3), I RUN THE EQ3B IN FRONT OF THE AMP AND THE PQ3 IN THE LOOP.

@dimeoflo of course its better than a (old) zoom pedal, just saying that for a "old-school death" or "grind" sound you dont need anything specific. Your ToneLab Vid is pretty cool though

@TheM3ta1Mi1itia The Eq3B does an awesome work for its price ! I can't play on my V2 without this...

I don't remember very well the EMG 81 (i've installed a Bill Lawrence USA XL500 and a Dimebucker between the 81 and the 81X) I think that the 81X has more presence, it's less cold but it keeps all the precision you need.
