This is a music video based on my "Star Wars" fan film I'm working on ("Fall to The Darkside".) The music in this film is from the Bristol group "Massive Attack." The song is "Future Proof" from the album "100th Window." I call this a reinterpretation since I paint the picture of a shady life that lends itself to be future proof.
The video is following the space pirate Reelo, a Rodian arms dealer. This follows his last voyage upon delivering the goods to his buyer. He gets more than he bargained for.
A few things I did with this film that are different. It's rendered with Blender 2.45 on my Macintosh Mini 1.42GHz PPC. It's using the Blender internal engine. I used several features in Blender: first, a whole lot of particles and pretty halos, baking and GI tricks, sub-surface scattering (SSS,) composite nodes, and creative lighting via lots of sphere lamps and buffered shadows.
Only small things were raytraced for reflections. Some scenes used lots of layers and composition to accomplish.
Ok, lastly I want to give credit where credit is due. I had some influence from some CG models. Reelo's ship came from a nice model I found and tweaked. All others are reproductions and lots of work.

I'm sure it took a lot of work and was nice. I'll admit that it was hard to follow with just the song. I didn't know if he was picking something up or dropping something off. The only reason I say that, is it appears that you were trying to tell a story with this video. That story was hard to follow even with the description in the "more" page.

Ok, here is the explanation: Reelo is an arms dealer He delivers to what he believes is a buyer (Darth Vicious.) She is a Sith and kills him after receiving the droid army. The idea here is a to tell a story of the lonely and dangerous life of Reelo the arms dealer. The point is to convey emotion toward him. I hope it worked.
