The 2009 Three State Mountain Ride will be held the weekend of May 15, 16 and 17.

We will be centered at the Blowing Rock Inn in beautiful downtown Blowing Rock, NC.

The schedule will be as follows:

May 15, Friday Night at 7pm.group dinner at Ichabods in Blowing Rock. There will be a shuttle from the Blowing Rock Inn to dinner and itll make as many trips as need be to get everybody there and back.

May, 16 Saturday at 10am.guided group ride starts at Julian Price Park picnic area. Riders meeting at 9:30am. Please have your bike fueled up and ready to go. The ride will be approximately 200 miles with 3 scheduled gas stops and a lunch break. You will have to have money for your gas and food. There will be a chase vehicle following the ride that will have extra fuel, tools and some spare bits. The chase vehicle will also be towing a trailer just in case you need a lift. There will be contact information and a ride maps given out at the riders meeting. The ride will be returning to Blowing Rock around 6PM. It can be cold in the mountains this time of year so bring extra riding gear and if you dont need it we will be happy to store it in the chase vehicle for you.

May 16, Saturday Night. We will be serving a BBQ dinner on the grounds at the Blowing Rock Inn starting around 7PM. Cost will run around $7.50 per person and its an all you can eat affair.

May 17, Sunday..Pack up

ALL WEEKEND..tire kicking, lie swapping, bluegrass music, pranks (look for oil spots) and an all around good time.

The 200 mile guided ride will be run as it has in the past, no backasswards this year. I will not know how we will end the ride until Friday morning when I set out the ride signs because the Parkway is still closed in places. BUTwe will have ride maps and instructions ready for Saturday. The ride will have signs for you to follow just in case you fall behind for some reason.

The 200 mile guided ride has at least two ride leaders.one group will be lead by Mike King and the other by Don Roe. BOTH groups will leave ALL scheduled stops together. Wendy Eads will be running back and forth between the two groups and will fill in as needed. Ride leaders wear a bright day glow vest that are easy to spot. If you have any questions just ask themtheyll be happy to answer.

If you have any questions before the ride, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me at dad1150@aol.com or 336-667-5684 HM, 336-977-3658 Cell.

Take care and well leave a light on for you.your Three State Mountain Ride hostGordon in NC
