I shot The Kaiser Chiefs recording session in London where they were covering The Beatles song 'Getting Better' with engineer geoff Emmerick on the original 4-track desk. I shot this on hi-def (Sony 750) all available light (bar interviews) and there are a couple of Z1 shots in there too.

  • The Beatles rule

and the Kaiser Cheifs are very good

    stop moaning

  • Brilliant and informative insight into a current band attempting the almost impossible. I love the Kaiser Chiefs. I loved The Beatles. The final mix of this song as recorded by KC is actually excellent - The limitations of 4-Tk recording are only seen as limitations nowadays. For The Beatles, it was a necessity - For The Kaiser Chiefs - a challenge - one to which they rose and in my opinion, came out sounding very accomplished.

  • damn ricky's voice is lik paul's.

  • uff.... VERY BAD!

  • Great cover... but the Stereophonics made it better...

  • there digital musician. meet analog.... with efforts they make it nice.....

  • it needs to much more to get better, sorry

  • I love how they set up all those keyboards and they don't use a single one.

  • Everything my band records we record on four track, because the limitations of the technology mean that you have to plan ahead more and just get things RIGHT more or less the first time. Many of the things you do you can't go back and undo or edit the hell out of like you can with Pro Tools. You can't send twenty different mics to twenty different tracks, and you can't edit a dozen different takes together. Yeah, it's harder, but it actually ends up bringing the best out of the band.

  • "everythings pretty much hand me downs after the Beatles" - Good point

  • is the whole program available anywhere?

  • I don't like to be negative but the guy isn't singing well enough....
