mine does this whenever I'm on a phone call. and i know it's silly but i like to listen to music and watch movies while I'm on the phone. My previous two iphones didn't do this but since i got my iphone 4 that's just the way it is. Tech support says that it must be since they added the noise cancellation feature for phone calls... dunno...

I just held down the home button until the voice activation screen came up and it went away

i have same problem just go to sound turn of the sounds at the settings like lock screen sounds and keyboard sounds good luck!

I've had the same problem with my 3GS iPhone. Although it's only when I lock and unlock it. It hasn't happened when I type as yet. It started about a week after I loaded in the OS 4 update. I'd love to know how to make it stop too. I have no solution to offer, but I can tell you you're not alone. Hopefully Apple or someone else will come up with a fix soon.
