A case study in the manic depressive (bipolar) disorder. The manic stage:

Emotional
* very happy and excited;
* irritated with other people who don't share your optimistic outlook;
* you feel more important than usual.

Thinking
* full of new and exciting ideas;
* moving quickly from one idea to another;
* THAT YOU ARE HEARING VOICES THAT OTHER PEOPLE CAN'T HEAR.

Physical
* full of energy;
* unable or unwilling to sleep;
* increased interest in sex.

Behaviour
* making plans that are grandiose and unrealistic;
* very active and moving very quickly;
* behaving in a bizarre way;
* speaking very quickly - if your mood is very high, it can be difficult for other people to understand what you are talking about;
* making odd decisions on the spur of the moment, sometimes with disastrous consequences;
* recklessly spending your money;
* becoming over-familiar or recklessly
critical with other people;
* less inhibited in your general behaviour.

  • What I wonder is that yes, she is speaking in a manic tone; I wonder if she was manic before her spiritual experience. I say this because often others will not believe those that have "spiritual experiences." And it can make a person a little nutty if you are trying to tell them something that seemed true; but they tell you it was not true: I think that knowing people are not listening to your story can make you manic. You start to feel "desperate" because you just want others to accept it.

  • I am a christian & I beleive that this ladys spiritual experience has nothing to do with her Bipolar..this lady is pretty aware she has episodes but shes also aware that this particular experience was special because it inspired her to beleive in God...even her mother said God gave her a dream..& yeah there are many people that suffer from Bipolar & may other diseases.But God can help overcome any disease..by reading his word and thru prayer can be very healing.;)

  • im 14 an ive been having problmes. idk if its tht im depressed, or bipolar idk. i have crazy mood swings, basicly small things could change my mood easily an idk anymore. wen ever im in pressure my heart jumps abnormally from 120 beats to probably 180 . kinda like an adrenalin rush and idk wats wrong wit me. i feel im going no where in life and im stuck in a hole tht i cant get out of. probably girl problems but idk.i really need help but idk where to start

  • A guardian angel? Where do you get that information, elholandes? Because you sound so certain about the existence of this "astral body" exiting the "psychical" world. A book you read? Some counselor or guru? How do you know all those things you assert?

  • OH, so she's not manic because she had a "religious experience". HAHAHAHAHA. You must be as nuts as her.

  • seroquel!!!!!

  • shes talking very fast...

    one big sign of mania

  • Hello you seem like a great person. I grew up in church Later in life I had some experience with God that show me he is so real. It look as thought your looking for support from other that have not had the same experience as you and they dont know what they are talking about. God need you in school and it is nothing wrong to share your faith non belivers share theres. Many schools are not for God but he always place someone there to speak for him. If I was you I would draw close to God he love u

  • sleep paraysis is a sign that your astral body is getting out of your psychical body. That happens when we dream every night, but this lady did is consciously. Hearing a male voice is just part of the astral world...maybe a guardian angel or a deceased one.

  • She Needs Gabapentin
