Bigger vs smaller??? Not sure if your aware about a word called "weight". It defines who can fight who in the sporting world. They use it in boxing all the time. Do you know what boxing is?? If we went by your logic all the biggest boxers would always win. However thats not the case. The Thai lost, steve has a height advantage in this fight as he can get his weight down, however he outclassed the thai. End of.

Yeh mate Steve is a very good fighter. It seemed like John Wayne Parr was coming back into the fight in the last round and it may have been closer if he had done that earlier. By then Steve had done everything he needed to do and the only way Parr was going to win was with a knockout. Which is hardly an easy task against someone as good defensively as wakeling. The fight when his dad got in the ring was against Ying Yi, the video's are on youtube. Check them out. Great fight. Steve was only 19.

Seems like you have some sort of grudge and a bit of jealousy cos your probably wishing you had so many titles under your belt. If you dont like his fight style fair enough, but its funny how someone who is rated the country's best fighter and who beat JWP (who you consider a legend), isn't a good fighter. Really? Are you upset about your own performance and make yourself feel better by picking holes in other peoples performance. You sure your not some second rate fighter who never made it.

I think the guy has a lot of talent and is very focused towards the sport. I would have loved it if he had fought Yodsanklai in the end and then you could have seen how good he really is. Shame the fight never happened. Funny how Dieselek is meant to be a thai legend in both bangkok stadiums and yet he looked second rate, infact fifth rate. He even told steve to go easy on him in the last round and it is unheard of for thai's to lose face, especially whilst competing in their national sport.

What the hell?? your saying he isn't an excellent fighter? Even though he has achieved so much at such a young age. All major titles. S1, WMC and WBC. Or was that a fluke, I'll give you a pound if you can think of a good excuse for winning all those titles too....infact to hell with it I will give you everything I own.

odietube - who are you kidding?? no way man. you get Buakaw or even Kraus, Souwer, Masato or Zambidis up and they would have Wakeling. they have much more of a broad experience than Steve

how come steve has never fought in K1 or fighters like Yod, Buakaw, etc. i would LOVE to see him fight anyone other than JWP or short thai guys (i know, i know, it's a weight thing not a height thing). he has excellent technique, excellent knees, elbows and kicks but doesn't use his punches (straight right particularly)..imagine if he did!

Wakeing is one of my fav UK fighters along with Liam Harrison.

The fact he fairly easily handled JWP shows you how good this boy is.

BTW what was the fight when his dad jumped in the ring and had to calmed down by Steve?
