It makes no matter who the messenger is on this subject. That abortion is viewed as a solution to an unplanned pregnancy is bad enough. It is a violent act that ends the life of a new baby, new life. And yes, when you're 18, scared, confused, and feeling very alone, abortion can seem like the only way out, especially if you don't know what abortion really is or know that thereARE people out there to help you, and not just that day but for years, and not just social services either.

Hey guys, maybe I'm a little behind on the times, but who's Glenn Beck?

As I said, I have no idea who Glenn Beck is or what he's about, and couldn't care less. But to say things like "DERRR, I can't believe people are so offended by religious fanatics describing abortions in sickening detail! There's nothing wrong with a website telling naive young girls that hell awaits anyone who scrambles babies brains and vacuums them out! DERRR c'mon, It only says that God smites people for scooping out fetuses, what's the big deal? Geez, people are so touchy!"

Why the hate? Because that's all they know. And they should never, ever call themselves pro-'choice' because the only 'choice' they are interested in is the one that ends in death; abortion. They bristled when they thought the Tebow's would make a stronger statement that she'd made a choice for life but I think they would have rejoiced if they'd thought she was going to come out and say she had an abortion. But then, there would be no Tebow ad because there would be no Tim...

I understand abortion bothers people. I understand why people consider abortion. I'm neither pro-life nor pro-choice, I'm male, and I'll never have to worry about being one or the other. But when you're an 18 year-old girl you don't know anything, politics or religion. All you know is what your parents think. To scare naive young girls, more so than they already are, saying God wants them to have the baby, and abortion could kill them... is evil propaganda, no matter which way you lean.

I agree the decision to have an abortion is scary all by itself. I don't agree with those who invoke religious consequences to scare those considering them either. But scientifically speaking, it IS ending a human life and there is NO dispute about that. If you don't want these girls to be naive, give them true informed consent. Show them where their baby is at developmentally and see if they still want to procede. Also, you can't deny there is risk with any surgical procedure. Just the facts.

I think they should interview the women who have had abortions and have great families, now. That ad was way to vague.

Actually the worst thing was the Betty White commercial was back-to-back with this ad. It made both ads anti-climatic.
Where was the outrage from the ad agencies ? Millions of dollars spent on two ads with the same "hook" and then you run them back-to-back ?
Sombody in programming should held accountable ! You never tell the same joke twice in a row ! It makes people's heads hurt.

Brilliant point.

Where is the outrage from NOW on the Betty White ad? Where? Oh I forgot... NOW is only interested in protecting women with liberal views.
