Those damn progressives instituted the minimum wage, created child labor laws, gave women the right to vote, gave blacks the right to vote, established civil rights legislation that banned racial discrimination in the public sphere, ensured that disabled people would have rights and would not be discriminated against, created social security for the eldest members of society, gave healthcare to poor children...

I agree the decision to have an abortion is scary all by itself. I don't agree with those who invoke religious consequences to scare those considering them either. But scientifically speaking, it IS ending a human life and there is NO dispute about that. If you don't want these girls to be naive, give them true informed consent. Show them where their baby is at developmentally and see if they still want to procede. Also, you can't deny there is risk with any surgical procedure. Just the facts.
