  • משובב נפש.

  • you are absolutely correct about this song. I'd love to hear a Sandra Johnson or Adi Etsion version. Betcha Ester Ofarim would have killed!

  • And I'm sorry for you that when you hear the word "classic" you only think about opera and Italian singers... and I really don't care if you like opera or not, it has nothing to do with conversation here.

  • I didn't get what do you want to say in your last message... what do the Italians have to do with what I said??

I advise you to read my last message AGAIN before you write something like that.

I was just saying that this song of Sasha Argov is an artistic Israeli song, and so it must be performed by classical singers. There are too many Israeli classical singers to mention, so I won't mention here.

Ravitz is a great singer in her genre, but this is NOT her genre - she's not a classical singer.

  • Yes, yes, touchy Italians. And the French and the Spanish and the Russians and the Germans all say they do it best as well. Look, I don't mean to insult Italians, but no one has the market cornered on music. Each country has its own tastes and styles and while I can take or leave most, individual singers do stand out for their voice and style and just the lovability factor, no matter the language or nationality. I really can't take opera in ANY LANGUAGE. I also don't care for ballet.

  • I don't mean an operatic version, and of course that I talked about Israeli classical singers, and not an Italian opera singer, who has nothing to do with Sasha Argov and Lea Goldberg.

The problem is that most of the Israeli audience, including you I guess, is not familiar with such great singers, and it's all your lost. I advise you, if so, to come and hear some of the concerts in the music academies, that some of them have the program of Israeli composers, such as Argov, etc. And it's free!

  • sounds fine to me. You want a screaching Italian version take it up with Placido Domingo.

  • ניפלא !!!

הלוואי ואמנים צעירים יגלו את שירתה המופלאה של גולדברג ויחברו כנפיים ססגוניות לשיריה שהם אבן

    צאן ברזל בשירה העיברית.

  • thanks!
