January 10, 2012: Please, someone help me. He thinks he's a hero, he thinks he has done nothing wrong and he is some kind of martyr. He is actively lying to and trying to bribe my little sister. He told me he "wasn't mad" to elicit kindness and then blocked my phone number. He promised me my school savings in return for the car and he still has every penny AND the car. He threw away every single chance I gave him at redemption. This shit is still happening and this man is still in office, denying any wrongdoing and shifting blame in any outward direction he can. Please god someone help us.

2004: Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams took a belt to his own teenage daughter as punishment for using the internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time. She has had ataxic cerebral palsy from birth that led her to a passion for technology, which was strictly forbidden by her father's backwards views. The judge's wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge's wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist. Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can't even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. His "judgement" is a giant farce. Signed, Hillary Adams, his daughter.

My Dad took the belt to me. I had always done something serious to deserve it. I can remember every time it happened because it wasn't often. That punishment was reserved for times when I was really stupid.

This video is showing an abused child. This guy doesn't quit and isn't just smacking this girl across the bottom. Also, I thought Christians weren't to take the Lord's name in vain. He does repeatedly.

I wish I understood everything. I didn't say the Old Testament was completely irrelevant, but it seems clear the new testament is significantly different than the old testament.

So why do christians keep referencing the old testament, especially the ten commandment?

Look at the bible and all the atrocities that the christian god endorses, I'm not surprised.

This is the verse you speak of and it's not from the "Old Testament".

    King James Version, Proverbs 13:24

He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.

King James molested children, so the "rod" he's talking about may not be a device for discipline.

Well I guess I shouldn't have used "spare the rod" even though that reference isn't taken from any bible. It's turning this into a religious discussion and I know how people can become like a bunch of hens, pecking someone to death when the word "God" is heard from their lips. I will not be henpecked for my bad choice of phrases?

The God of the Old Testament has a very different nature that God and his son as set forth in the new testament. The spare the rod reference is old testament just like eye for an eye and God as vengeful. The new testament would never advocate this physical violence (I doubt the Old Testament would either properly interpreted). This kind of behavior draws no support from modern Christianity.

This type of behavior is not reserved for a particular generation. Some of the worst abusers never had a hand layed on them as a child. I in no way condone this "man"s behavior, so yes, to an extent I agree, most of the people I encounter on a day to day basis, young and old, are not as ignorant as this "man".

I'm not basing my opinion on a "thousands years old book". It's my own opinion, formulated with my own experiences. I don't believe though that this sudden shift toward atheism is going to help society either however. Atheists seem to believe it's the answer to all societal problems. God isn't the problem on this planet. It's humans that are the problem, religious or not.
