I bought this cymbal to finish off the collection and I really love this thing! It's the crash on my right. The dynamics on it are unreal as you'll hear in my demonstration. I put the Rode NT1A 12 feet out as the room mic along with 7 more mics around the kit. What do you think? You know, now I see why Bonham played this cymbal setup, they all blend really well together. So many sounds from just a couple of cymbals.

  • awesome playing man. but Bonham didn't use a 20", stuck with 18"s usually.

  • @Limedrum

Even if he didn't, I love it!! Thank you!

  • I always enjoy thoroughly your playing style. A mix of Bonham, Rich, and most importantly Zalac !

  • I too use the Paiste 2002 series and I must say that I would never dare use any other cymbals than Paiste. My theory is once you go Paiste you never go back.

  • @Limedrum that's where you're incorrect. my friend..i have the book,"A Thunder of Drums" which is all about Bonham, the drummer, the musician, the man..everything there is to know about him is in that book..what gear he used with Zep, what he used before Zep,what mics were used in studio, what kits he used on tour or recording sessions, etc..in the section of cymbals and gongs, this is a quote from the author of the book.. cont..

  • @Limedrum Actually, he did use the 20. He changed it out for the 18 about half the time. Also, he did more than just the two crash cymbals. He put up the 20 with the 18 as well. It just depended on the venue or recording textures.

  • Excellent dude!

  • @TheNevermind1313 You're right! My bad.

  • @Limedrum actually there is a clip where bonhams drum tech is telling about his drum&cymbals set-up and there is a 20" crash on the right

  • And your tone is spot on!

  • Nailing every beat dude. Sounds like Bonham playing BeBop for a little bit there, fantastic.

  • Great playing and quality sounding cymbals!!!

  • with the snare fills are you just playing singles? thanks (: love your vids
