Spaghetti Squash is a great substitute for pasta!

It's super healthy and is light on the stomach unlike heavy pasta!

There are many ways to serve this so be creative!!!

Cut in Half
Scoop out seeds
Face down in casserole pan with 1 inch of water
350 degrees for 1 hour
shred with fork
ENJOY!

  • Thanks for the instructions. This was delicious. I put the whole thing in a 375° oven for 1 hour then cut it in half and scraped it. I put olive oil, parmesean and romano cheese, and crushed red pepper, it was one of the best things i've had in a long time and so simple to make. Yummm!!!

  • @tylertyler82 I'm glad you liked it. I need to make it again soon, it's been forever! I'll have to try it your way too!

  • im 15 and i llove to cook i do this with a sauce that is made with butter heavy cream and permason cheese i guess thats how u spell it but i boil it first not bake

  • wow sounds awesome!!!!

  • i like to let the squash cool after shredding it. then toss it with garlic olive oil and some chopped tomatoes and basil. serve room temp, one of my faves in the summer time. great pasta sub!

  • its not healthy anymore after you add butter, cream and sugar to it

  • How does the squash come out differently if you just keep it whole when you bake it vs. cutting it in half? Thank You.

  • I didn't realize that I had already commented on this video. This comment is very similar to the first one so I must have really enjoyed watching it since I commented twice...LOL. At least this time, I realized that after you pulled the strands away from the skin, you kept the spaghetti squash in the skin and just added your toppings. No need to transfer to a serving bowl since you're the only one eating it!

  • Great job Rae! You were very detailed in your video! I have already bought 2 spaghetti squash, and this is my first time attempting to prepare it. I have seen a few other videos then found yours. I'm glad I saw your video. You took the time to prepare yours just as you planned to eat it by ladling on the sauce and parmesan cheese. Thanks a bunch!

  • I bought 2 spaghetti squash last week, and went looking for receipe suggestions. So glad I found yours! Thanks for giving detailed instructions as well as other tips! I'm going to try cooking mine in a teflon pan on the stovetop covered with an inch of water. I don't want to heat my oven when this way is so much easier. I plan to season mine with a little extra virgin olive oil, garlic, and basil tomato sauce.

  • I buy smaller ones and put them in my steamer...it is way faster!! I friggin LOVE spaghetti squash!! :)

  • First time making this - can't wait to see how it turns out!

  • you can also just wrap them in foil and bake them, and then the goodness doesn't leak out into the water!

  • I made this with bolognese sauce and it was great!
