You can hear two Screech Owls calling to each other; one near and the the other far. You have to listen closely to hear the one far off. The Great Horned Owl calls towards the end of tape, but is difficult to hear because the dogs started barking.

  • sounds like when i tickle an asian lady

  • @portugal5698 interesting.. I am actually of Spainard decent and we believe the same.

  • The noise of the crickets is so relaxing. I’m sure it could do your tits in if you had it to contend with every night but I wish we had that noise to drift off to sleep with.

  • @portugal5698 Your statement is interesting: To the Native Americans, barn owls are harbingers of death; to see one in flight is considered extremely bad luck.

  • @VeganMuffin Me too! This sound has been freaking me out all summer! Lol

  • Where I come from in portugal, this is the bird of death, Everytime somebody hears this bird, someone they know dies withhin 24 ours. This always happens.

  • @adnoxious pheasants dont make that high of a sound. they make a bawking cackling sound almost like a chicken. nothing like that.

  • Omg yay I figured it out!! I woke up to this noise at 5 am and was like "omg aliens?!" so I looked it up and now I know what it is. It sounded exactly like this!

  • If you can whistle something like this, you can make them come nearer and check you out. They will answer you and if you answer them, you can get it so you can see them.

  • Thank you for posting this. I have been hearing the same bird just after dark, and I so wanted to know what it was and now I know. I knew we had owls around our house, but I never would have guessed that they could sound like this.
