How pleasing it is to hear "oldies" treasures from the UK, Canada and Australia (and other countries) here on YouTube. Thank you so much for sharing all these marvellous Maureen Evans performances and reminding me of when I'd buy Embassy records, more affordable and - in Maureen Evans's case - often better than the originals. There were a few great girls singers at that time who didn't achieve lasting popularity (Jackie Trent and Julie Grant spring to mind), but Maureen has such a likeable voice, rich-toned and musical. Like Kay Starr she has that ability to make ordinary songs sound quite special. Love her!

Absolutely LOVE this song. It grew on me - been playing it for the last three days. Picked it out on the piano, a very nice melody line.
