The Korean War was the point when we started down this path. General Mac was determined to pick a fight with China.
I think not stopping at the N Korean border was the turning point, we made an aggressive move toward China. China was forced to make defensive move and cross into N Korea. This is where it started and Eisenhower warned us or Navy picked the fight with Vietnam. Vietnam was when it became clear not where it started. Bacevich is a true patriot, but or police actions are the problem.
