On April, 2010, I spotted two old Santa Fe GP60M units doing switching job at BNSF Malabar yard in Vernon, California.

  • LOL, was it just me, or was there a horn battle going on between the GP60m and a car in the beginning????

  • @socalrailfanner I think GEVO pulls baretables between Irwindale and San Bernardino.

  • Ever notice the headlight is slightly off-center on those? I worked a local once with a GP60M, they're a little ragged out and don't ride good (most 4-axle units don't anyway), but it had A/C which is very important during Alabama summers.

  • These where the proud of the line back in the 90's pulling hotshot piggyback trians used to see them alot back in TX.

  • @starguard they are rarely used the way they were in the 90's, but now are some real pain in the butts to BNSF. They HATE gp60M's and B40-8's...

  • @trainz675 Thanks!

  • @starguard Nope, they were build in im guessing 88' and back in the 90's, were on 80 MPH doublestacks.
