I DO NOT CLAIM COPYRIGHT TO THE SONG

I was asking her to do something new - back up an L shape between poles - and she didn't understand. We suspect she was beaten before I got her when she didn't get things right straight away as she gets very worried. I stopped her, backed her up and here we went.

By the way, we work Monty Roberts/Kelly marks way.

Advice and cc is welcome. Nasty comments is not. Oh and yeah, next time I'll wear a hat - this was a first for her so didn't expect to need 1.

  • her teeth hurt.

  • Clearly. Except we have them done regularly and when we had them checked due to her behaviour 2 different specialised equine dentists both said she had perfect teeth :) And the fact that we aren't even using a bridle or anything in her mouth in this video, CLEARLY it MUST be her teeth.

  • @beautifullace chill out, i was just trying to help. I'm sorry she is not fixable, it's unusual for a horse to do this when they are not in pain. I've had horses with ulcers in their mouths that will react that way even without a bit, especially if there is a chain on their face. She just looks like she's in pain to me.

  • Its wretchedly annoying when people don't bother to look at the date or find out any information before telling me whats wrong with my horse.

After 50 million people put their 2 cents in, I have a right to be annoyed. If someone had said Have you had her checked or whatever, I wouldn't be rude, but when someone just states what they misinformedly think as a fact, its very irriating. There was nothing wrong with her teeth, and who said she's not fixable? Look at recent vids.

  • just to let you know but you should have a hat on a pair of gloves on coz that was dangerouse!! you could of been badly hert thaat was silly not going out with out a hat on or a pair og gloves!!! :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:

but i love that pony she/he is sooooooooooooooooooooo pretty

    i love it!1

  • I know, but at the time she had never done it before so it wasn't expected. After that I wore a hat everytime I did any work with her until she stopped doing it. She now very rarely rears in hand, only when she has a serious strop on lol

  • my old horse is just like her! ignore everyone who is saying it is her teeth or blah blah blah,we checked my horse regulary he was fine nothing wrong he just was really naughty! it gets so frustrating sometimes & u just want to get rid of them but when they give you that 'look' you know you just cant let them go. i had to sell my horse because we were moving i have never been the same since i always think about him&as soon as we move back im buying him, my heart isn't complete without him :'( <3

  • gorgeous horse :)

  • Another guy you should check out is Jonathon Fields, he has a few pretty nifty idea (watch his herd bound video on YT, it's not the issue, but the putting them into the 'neutral zone' to chill out is really handy.) Good on you for keeping on with your horse, I checked out another vid of her from 10 months ago. Rearers are the most difficult, I have one too. She's vicious.

  • @SparklyReiner87 she doesn't have anything in her mouth?

  • @SparklyReiner87 lol not fixable, how silly. My horse used to do this when she would have a pissy day and didn't wanna lunge. She wasn't in pain she just had an attitude problem. It's the horse trying to see if they can intimidate you and in intimidating you become boss which means no running. Once they get that this won't work they will stop. I don't find it unusual at all I would imagine any dominant horse trying to take lead would try it.

  • @jinglejangle32142 You Dont Have To Break His/Her Spirit....;)

  • To break a horse, we mst first break its spirit. She obviously wanted hers back.

  • Honestly - when you post a video like this...you're going to get lots and lots of comments from the peanut gallery...but I think you know that now.....Most horse people think they are experts with not only their own horses but everyone else's too. I wouldn't even bother.....

  • Wow, she's beautiful!

  • @SparklyReiner87 Yeah, But She Doesnt Have Bad Teeth, Lol:P I Really Aint Trynna Start An Argumet xx
