One of my very favorite 2 piano works for sure. Everyone loves the Brasiliera (though I think they take it a smidge too fast) but the Modere has such a lovely naive quality the way they play it. Beautiful! When I performed this it was with a pianist who really didn't like it so she did it no justice at all. Rather depressing.

Milhaud's output is all over the place, but he has expressions like this that are just brilliant beyond words.
