That will be updated in the live version. In the beta version AA and AF were disabled. They could be forced by modifying the client_settings.ini file with the line
"AntiAliasingLevel = 8 TextureAnisotropy = 16"
I guess most people either did not learn about this, or did not care to do so. This, in addition with compressed YouTube footage doesn't do a great deal of justice for the game in terms of graphics.

The ONLY complaint I have with the visuals in TOR is that the rock textures are pretty bad. Character textures, effects, all other environmental effects, great. Only have an issue with rocks (and some trees). Hope they update them. You can really see the contrast at 1:12
