I think your current home is more attractive than those you were looking at. The spacious yard is a plus over close neighbors. Lake homes are nice unless your view is of water and homes tightly ringed around the lake. Wisconsin has a lot to offer and is similar to New York in many ways. I guess that is why I like New York countryside.

@oldvision I totally fell in love with this house when I found it. I saw the pics from vegas. Its cooler then any house I ever thought I would live in. After 3 years I still just cant get used to the quiet and the isolation. Being afraid to walk my dog at night kind of stuff. Its just a little too much nature for me and yes you are right there are lots of places in NY that are very similar to Wisconsin. I spent my summers in the catskill mountains as a kid. It was great.

@CurrentlyDisconected I really like it by the lake, I love to look at water even though I dont swim, you can see where I live its just too much nature and the houses are too far apart. I just feel too isolated here. I just cant get used to it but it is amazing what you can buy here for a decent price.

Our North Dakota home is 1 mile from the lake and a 1 hr drive away is a 100 MILE long lake (not a typo).

Our 3 bed remodeled, furnished home with 5 lots (1/2 a city block) is selling for $25,000 WITH a 27 ft motor home. I am working in CA and can not use the house sooooo we must sell it... And yes, it is worth more but we only need $25K soooo that is it :-) Taxes, A couple hundred a yr, Insurance,,, we have $200,000 for $600 a yr. Great place to raise kids, zero crime...

The most interesting part about the video to me was to hear about your change of location and therefore change of lifestyle - from NYC to Vegas to Wisconsin - especially since I'm on a similar change. Except that I'm trying another big city / small apartment situation... I long for a whole house in summery Vegas... ;-)

haha that was cute do you call it a house or a trailer. They look like cute little houses and right next to the lake as well sure makes the price goes up big time. Hope you end up back where you want too be, Yeah im sure it is a big change from being in NYC for sure.
