This version has Gene Mumford singing on it so it trumps them all. He's my favorite 50's vocalist. Thanks for letting me see him in action for the first time, a real treat! (Fats Domino could sing the telephone book and it would be enjoyable.)
I find that comment about Perry Como hard to believe. Is that documented? Apparently, Perry gave them their big chance. He put the Larks in front of a coast-to-coast audience for the first time, even before they won on Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts. I assume they sang Lucy Brown because it was in their repertoire, they had just recorded it, but hadn't released it yet. Eugene Mumford sang lead on TV but not on the record.

This has nothing on the Eddie Cantor or Fats Domino versions, especially not in how they don't even sing the right lyrics...
