Rigg is dead. Hoffman says that he and Corbett are the only two survivors of the meatpacking plant, and the only contradiction we see to this is Strahm, who we see survive his trap.

AFTER SAW IV IT NEVER SHOWED WHAT HAPPEND TO RIGGS HE WAS ALIVE WHEN HOFFMAN LEFT OUT THAT ROOM WITH THE FAKE ELECTRIC CHAIR AND ICE TRAP THAT KILLED MATTHEWS. HOFFMAN WALKED OUT. why didnt rigg leave a message behind before he died? i would have at least written: Det Hoffman is a jigsaw apprentice with my own blood, i mean how hard could that be?
